This project for the Ute Indian Tribe consisted of replacing an existing structurally deficient bridge. This project is located in a very remote area of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation with no access to a concrete plant. A hydraulic study was completed to size the structure and research was performed on various types of prefabricated structures that could be used at this location. An arch plate type structure with prefabricated footers was chosen as the best fit for this remote location. It allowed for the entire structure to be delivered in pieces and assembled on-site with minimal equipment and personnel.
